Berkeley County Historical Society |

| The Berkeley County Historical Society is staffed by volunteers; local members who are interested in history and interested in helping you discover the rich history of Berkeley County West Virginia. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, it is recommended that if you are coming from out-of-town, give us a call ahead of time to confirm that will have someone available to assist you whether you are coming to research or to see the home of the notorious Civil War spy, Belle Boyd. The Archives & Research Center houses the BCHS offices as well as our research library. The Belle Boyd House houses the Berkeley County Museum. Our storage facility is not open to the public. All parts of the BCHS complex are open seasonally. We also observe all Federal and State holidays. Please see our CALENDAR of EVENTS for days we will be closed. Archives & Research Center Standard Hours are from April 15 until the Saturday BEFORE Christmas when we are open from 10AM to 4PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our Board of Directors is currently reviewing these hours. Before visiting please check back here to confirm. Winter Hours for the Archives & Research Center run from the Tuesday AFTER New Years until April 14 when we are open from 10AM to 4PM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Archives and Research is always closed on Wednesday and Sunday. The Berkeley County Museum at the Belle Boyd House is open seasonally as well; from April 15 to October 30 we are open Monday through Saturday, 10AM to 4PM. The house closes in preparation for the Holiday Season and reopens on December 2, 2011 for our Holiday Celebration.
