Berkeley County Historical Society |

| OUR HISTORY |
| The Berkeley County Historical Society was begun in the late 1920's. Citizens, interested in preserving the diverse history of the county joined to do their best to keep their families, friends and neighbors mindful of where they all came from and how the area came to have such a rich and diverse background. When the Great Depression struck, through the hardships of World War II, the society fell inactive. The cause was taken up again in the 1950's being organized into a formal Society in 1963. The Society has met regularly since that time. |
